The Pékpont selection offers a full range of traditional Hungarian and international baked products (cocoa spiral rolls, fruit-filled triangles, sweetened cottage cheese pockets, Danishes, Hungarian pogacsa, muffins, and croissants with various fillings), which the company works continuously to expand and develop. At present, customers may choose from among nearly 70
different baked products. Our production line is located in our own European-standard plant facility, equipped with new, modern machinery and operated according to strict quality and technological specifications. In order to ensure this level of quality is maintained, First Hungarian Pékpont System Ltd. has recently introduced the ISO 9001:2000 quality assurance system.
Adherence to hygienic standards is assured by consistent application of the HACCP system, introduced as the result of a lengthy, comprehensive process. The company also closely monitors the quality of ingredients, guaranteed through excellent relationships with suppliers developed over a number of years.
Pékpont's
special (fresh/frozen) technology involves
moving fresh-baked goods directly to the freezing line, thus eliminating numerous sources for error and saving a significant amount of both energy and time for retail units that will eventually receive the goods. Baked goods removed from the freezer compartment are placed into a showcase oven right on the sales floor (ovens are provided free of charge by our company) and
warmed for a period of 2 to 10 minutes, depending on the specific product, before being put on display for sale. Products prepared in this way attract customers with their fresh aroma and appetising appearance. As a result of the
"fresh baked deep frozen" technology, our baked goods lose none of their original appeal, retaining both quality and freshness for several hours.
It should be especially noted that our method
does not require retail units to allot for rising time. The total time to sale for a given product is a maximum of just 10 minutes, allowing shops to satisfy customer requirements fully, flexibly, and in a manner that adjusts with time to the current pace of business. This degree of flexibility also aids in preventing large amounts of unsold goods from going to waste at closing time, while allowing an adequate selection of items to be offered, even during the last quarter hour of the day.
In the past few years, use in the foodstuffs industry of high-visibility bakery stands has spread at a spectacular pace and continues to do so today. The two primary reasons for this are that the new sales form has affected turnover in a way that extends to other types of goods as well, and that this type of service is now seen by operators as an industry basic for those wishing to meet the standards modern customers expect.
